Drawing from a long line of Chicago house producers including Ron Hardy and Boo Williams, Jamal Moss is one of the most interesting artists to emerge from the house music scene in years.
Growing up in the early day's of the city's electronic music scene in the late 80s/ early 90s, Moss went from party goer to promoter to producer, using analog equipment to keep the classic Chicago sound alive. Merging a love of old-school jacking house with an experimental, rough-edged aesthetic, Moss is a profilic producer who has released scores of records, some famous and others almost impossible to get ahold of.

Under a number of aliases, such as Hieroglyphic Being, Africans With Mainframes and I.B.M., he's released tracks on labels as diverse as Sony Europe, International Deejay Gigolos, Interdimensional Transmissions and Ghostly International. Jamal Moss also runs his own label, Mathematics, where he plays host to not only his own releases but those of other artists creating similarly adventurous sounds.
