A distinctly New York artist who takes influence from UK producers, Falty DL is one of the most important musical voices to emerge this year in the genre known alternately as bass, dubstep, or just plain electronic.
Merging the kind of icy cold synths and intricately designed percussion made famous by artists like Mike Paradinas and Aphex Twin with the more soulful influence of garage and house, Falty DL burst onto the scene with his debut LP, Love Is A Liability, as coherent a musical statement as you could ask for.

His followup EP, Bravery, continued in the same vein but with an even more accomplished focus, incorporating a more organic touch on emotionally fraught tracks like "Made Me Feel So Right" that recalls, alternately, euphoric rave, dubstep and NYC hip hop. With future releases said to be in the works, Falty DL has already established himself as an authoratative voice within intelligent electronic music.
