Canadian producer Deadmau5, AKA Joel Zimmerman, burst onto the electronic music scene with his mix of electro house and trance. One of the first DJ stars of the digital age, Deadmau5 quickly became a staple of DJ download sites with his fresh mix of electro and progressive house influences, with tracks like "Arguru" and "Not Exactly" becoming instant classics.

Deadmau5's live sets focus on recreating his tracks in a live setting utilizing a Jazzmutant Lemur, Ableton and other software - all while wearing his trademark giant mouse head. His debut album, Random Album Title, was released in 2008 on the label Ultra Records in the U.S. and Ministry of Sound in Europe.
Deadmau5 was named "Producer of 2007" by DJ magazine, and "Best Progressive House Artist" by Beatport the following year. He was nominated for a Grammy in 2009 for his remix of "The Longest Road" by Morgan Page.
